High Risk Criteria

Quarantine the High-Risk, Not the Entire Population

Only 15% of Corona victims constitute 85% of hospitalizations. Most of the hospitalizations have one or more underlying medical conditions (listed below). We need to quarantine this 15%, not the entire population.

  • Aged 65 or Older*
  • Chronic Lung Disease
  • Moderate to Severe Asthma
  • Serious Heart Conditions
  • Severe Obesity (BMI over 40)
  • Diabetes
  • Kidney Disease Requiring Dialysis
  • Liver Disease
  • Cancer Treatment
  • Otherwise Immunocompromised

*Please note that while the CDC lists age as a standalone factor, the data appears to show that age alone does not necessarily make you high risk. Age in combination with any of the other conditions listed or compromised immune system appears to be what puts you at risk.
